Abro: spend apart, see together. A shared spending log for couples.
Money fights are rarely about the money.
They’re about surprises, guesswork and blame. Most household money leaves in small amounts at the till, and by the end of the month nobody remembers where it went.
I’ll log it later.
Small spends vanish by evening. Logging “later” never happens, so the month’s picture is full of holes.
You never told me.
Two people, two half-pictures. Groceries get bought twice, and a big purchase lands as a surprise at month end.
Are you checking on me?
Shared apps usually show everything to everyone. Tracking starts to feel like being policed, so one of you stops.
Everything a couple needs. Nothing that nags.
Who paid
Every expense records who paid, and you can log one your partner paid for when they’re busy. The month shows each person’s share.
Only me
Mark a gift or a treat as personal. Only you see it, and it stays out of the shared totals and budget.
One budget
Set one monthly number together. A gentle note appears before a purchase takes you over, not after.
Daily allowance
See what’s left to spend today, so small decisions don’t need a conversation.
Recurring
Rent, school fees and subscriptions log themselves each month, assigned to whoever usually pays.
Your currency
Pick the currency you spend in. Spent abroad? Enter it as is, at the rate you set.
Clear patterns
Compare categories with last month and see weekday against weekend averages. Talk about one change, not everything.
Your data, safe
Everything lives in your account, not just on one phone. Export to CSV or back up any time.
Built so nobody feels policed.
Sharing money works when both people feel safe. Abro has no admin partner and no way to edit someone else’s entries behind their back.
- Only the person who logged an expense can change or delete it.Your partner sees your entries but can’t edit them.
- Personal really means personal.A personal expense is never sent to your partner’s phone. The server enforces it, not just the screen.
- You can leave at any time.Your own expenses and recurring items go with you. Your partner keeps theirs.
- No bank connection, ever. You decide what goes in. Nothing is pulled from your accounts.
Start the money talk from the same page.
At the end of each month, Abro makes one calm image: what you spent, who paid what, the top category and how it compares with last month. Share it and talk about the facts, with less blame.

Two phones. One picture.
Invite your partner
Create a household and send a link or an 8-character code. Your partner joins with their own account, so nobody shares a password. They choose whether to bring their past expenses along.
Log it at the till
Amount, reason, save. Add a category, the day, who paid or a foreign currency if you need to. No signal? It saves on your phone and syncs when you’re back online.
See the same thing
Both phones show the same month: one total, each person’s share, one budget and how much is left for today. Every change appears on the other phone within seconds.
FAQ
Does it connect to our bank accounts?
No. You log what you spend yourself, which takes a few seconds and keeps you aware of where the money goes. There are no bank logins and no card numbers.
What exactly can my partner see?
Every shared expense and recurring item in your household, the budget, and each person’s share. They can’t see anything you mark as personal, and they can’t change your entries.
Do we both need an account?
Yes. Each of you signs up with your own email and password. One of you creates the household and invites the other with a link or code.
I already track my spending. What happens to my history?
When you join, Abro asks whether to bring your past expenses into the household or leave them behind. Anything you leave behind comes back if you leave.
What if one of us wants to leave?
Either of you can leave at any time. You take your own expenses and recurring items with you, and your partner keeps theirs.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Expenses save on your phone straight away and sync when you’re back online, so a bad connection never loses an entry.
Can I use it on my own?
Yes. Everything works for one person, and you can invite a partner whenever you’re ready.
One picture. Fewer surprises.
Set it up, invite your partner, and log your next coffee together.
